Professions

This is only abrief introduction to professions. If you are looking more in-depth information, I would recommend you make your pick between those Lord of the Rings Online guides - I recommend you go for the general one or the Mines of Moria one since they provide the most in-depth coverage of professions.

In the online game called The Lord of the Rings Online, a profession is generally considered to be an area of crafting expertise or tradeskill which is very useful of players in the game to use it as a way of making a living and making tons of money or gold. Professions in LotRO are very different from those of  many other MMO games on the market because players can not choose to learn or practice them directly. Instead of doing that they must opt for a Vocation, which is a definite set of 3 diffrent professions.

Professions are also inter-dependent in that most production or crafting professions in the game require items only compatible with the gathering professions. For instance, woodworker recipes need treated wood which merly the forest profession can create. In general, there are two broad kinds of professions comprisingof gathering and producing professions.

Nevertheless, all LotRO professions are responsible for producing many items which are their subcomponents or end products required by other professions Both kinds of professions have levels of experience of their own and you may only gather or craft within your level or lower.

In LotRO, players can have as many as 10 professions in total available to them in the game. These 10 professions of great use include Cook, Farmer, Forester, Jeweler, Metalsmith, Prospector, Scholar, Tailor, Weaponsmith and Woodworker.
